Thank you, that's a big help, if somewhat convoluted. :) I gather that Pages 
uses a lot of this mouse stuff, instead of making things more efficiently 
accessible?

As to the date, is there no way to tell the template to auto-fill the current 
date when I make a new file? I now know how to insert and format the date, but 
if I make a file in October based on this template, can Pages not automagically 
put "October 3, 2015" into that field? I can do it manually, I guess I'm just 
surprised I have to, if that makes sense.
