I just tried it, Ray, and nothing's changed.  I think I visually saw the WinAmp 
setup assistant come up after I ran the .app file for the first time, but try 
as I may, no matter what I did, I couldn't get Voiceover to move focus there.  
Even when I visually took my mouse and clicked within the bounderies of the 
window, which yes, I have enough vision to do, even that! didn't work.

Your best bet honestly would be to just stick with VLC.  It's quite accessible, 
and works really really well.
