The new phones have updated hardware including an updated / better fingerprint 
censor, better radio chips that support more bands, larger battery, NFC chip as 
you mentioned for payment, etc.  Each phone is an iteration better.  Not really 
revolutionary changes but nice hardware upgrades nonetheless.  The proposed 6S+ 
/ 6S is rumored to have a 12 megapixel camera instead of 8, faster Qualcomm 
radio chip (more than twice faster on the network), force touch display and 
more battery.  Small changes but ones that will make the user experience better.
