All, Those of you have the watch, does it tell you to stand when you are standing? I haven't turned mine off but sometimes it doesn't know when I'm walking or standing.
As soon as the newer model of the watch comes out, I'll sell the one I have as I have the same model as Donna's and then next time I'll go for the stainless steal one as I bought the Loop not liking the rubber strap which came with the sports model. Very happy with the watch though Scott and agree with all the points made thus far. Thank you. Kawal. But I wanted something to use for working out, and there were things I didn't like about my Fitbit, so I decided to go ahead. I went with the 38.5 aluminum model. I may go with the stainless steel next time, but since I was pretty sure I'm going to want to replace this one when the next generation comes out, I wanted to go as cheap as I could this go-round. My battery life is the same as George's. I charge it every night when I go to bed, but it's at about 50% when I put it on the charger, so if I had to go two days, I probably could. I agree that it would be nice if it functioned more independently of the phone. I went out of town a few weekends back, and actually ran off without my phone. (Can I just say, it was awful!!!! Addicted to my phone, noooooooo, certainly not me!: lol Anyway, it would certainly have been nice had my watch been able to function more without the phone that weekend. Another thing I wish is that it monitored flights of steps climbed like the phone does. A small point, I realize, but it's on my wish list. One thing I will say from a blindness perspective, is that i'll probably never completely give up my braille watch. I have enough situations in my life where I want to be able to check the time soundlessly--either because I don't want others knowing I'm checking, or because I don't want the noise to disturb someone else, that I do still have my braille watch for those occasions. I will let you know my take on the next release, but in the meantime, I'd say go for it!
