I've had that work more often than it should. You go into Safari
Preferences and then to the Advanced tab where you'll find a checkbox at
the very end that says Show Develop menu in menu bar. Turn that on and
you'll find the new Develop menu to the right of Bookmarks. In that
Develop menu, the second item is User Agent and the sub-menu lets you
tell Safari to lie about what kind of browser it is. So it can pretend
to be Firefox, Chrome, IE etc. When a browser connects to a web server
to request a web page, that request includes a User Agent String which
basically says what kind of browser/version/OS you are running on. This
menu lets you change what your browser says it is. It makes no other
changes to how your browser behaves. For unknown reasons some sites will
reject enabling certain features and such based on this identifier. This
sometimes shows up as Safari getting kicked in the shins for no
particular reason. The more correct method is to detect capabilities but
the lazy way is to "Support IE" or "Support Chrome" and lump all other
browser in the worthless bucket. Amazon has had this problem for years
with some of their product videos refusing to play on Safari unless you
do the user agent string hack.

Thanks I appreciate that information. Right now because of the service
that I'm using I simply switch over to windows ten on boot camp and
access the site from Firefox that way, and am experimenting with using
fusion to access windows at this time, but unfortunately this site is
something I use for my daily marketing efforts and it does simply not
work with safari. though I wonder if I enable the develop menu, and
change the user agent to Google Chrome, if that would allow it to
work. you've given me something to think about and I appreciate it.

Best version of Firefox is the latest version. It's been getting
better but I still keep going back to Safari. I haven't had a need to
use Chrome all that much.

Good Day:
I hope this message finds each and everyone of you well!
I'm writing as I've got a quick question related to Google Chrome.
Some of the services I use are not supported with Safari, and it is
recommended that I use Google Chrome for the services.
I found that voiceover was not reliable with Google Chrome, and
Learned that the reason was because I did not install the chromevox
plugin, so I went ahead and installed.
I then disabled voiceover and was attempting to go through the
interactive tutorial found here:
http://www.chromevox.com/tutorial/index.html
However two things occurred that I think some feedback on.
Number one, for some reason the"bubbles" voice was being used even
though I think my system default voices Alex but as I write this
message I'm not 100% sure. Do you know where i might be able to
verify this?
Secondly and in my personal opinion more important, as i can deal
With the "bubbles" voice though it's not ideal, as I was going
through the tutorial referenced above I was instructed to use the
control and Command key as modifiers for chromevox, and was
instructed to locate these keys. When I press the control key as
instructed, I was congratulated and told that I had found the
correct key. Then when I press the command key, again I was
congratulated and told that I had found the correct key. However,
the next step was to press the control and command key at the same
time, but I never got it to do both. as anyone else successfully
gotten chromevox to work?
Alternatively, is there a reliable Firefox Version that voiceover
plays well with?
Thanks for any advice.
