Good Day:

I used a Mac for the majority of my college career. After extensive
research into citation systems and word-processing applications, I settled on
LaTeX, which someone else already mentioned. Essentially, LaTeX is a markup
language wherein you specify the formatting of your document through text
commands. This already provides an advantage when, for instance, you want to
italicize something. In that case, you just write \it{whatever is supposed to
be italicized}.
The reason this is useful is because you can extend the functionality
of LaTeX with various packages, many of which deal with bibliographical styles,
including the APA, Chicago, and MLA formats. While LaTeX does not cost
anything, it might take some time to master its intricacies, but if you don’t
mind spending the time and computer space it requires, it will serve you well,
and you can be certain that your documents will come out looking very
professional.
