Hello ssl is standard in unison. I had a giganews account without it and couldnt use it so I had to get a costlier account. I havent yet found out how to navigate the interface/browse groups though I can download nzbs from the internet and very fast at that. What I do not like and is a serious handicap imho in these modern times (all the windows newsreaders have it as standard) is that unison just dumps the downloaded files and does not check them with par 2 files if they are completed and does not unpack them at all. You need a separate program for htat. There IS such a program for the mac I discovered after some googling macpar deluxe but my opinion is htat a newsreader for which you pay good money should include that functionality by default (even free windows newsreaders do have all this functionality).
