personally, I think it's a bad idea to begin subscribing to alternative so called accessible websites.
Why? It takes no mor effort to make a mainstream website accessible than it does an alternative site. Altermative sites may have all features of the main site but may not. Alternative sites may not be updated with new features in a timely manner. Alternative sites may not bare resemblence to the mainstream site which makes it hard to relate to sighted peers using the same site. politically speaking, "alternative websites" are in the old paradigm of accessibility and we should be demanding that designers take accessibility into account during every faze of development in the same way they would take asthetics, accounting, workflow charts and other systematic design principles and needs into account. Having said all that, I just looked at amazon.com and all the headings I usually look for such as product description and user reviews are just as they have been for years. Amazon currently shows me the "most helpful reviews" but I don't have to click on links to see them. This is the same as ever. It could be that amazon is rolling out a new layout to some customers and not others. They are really annoying that way.
