Hello, When using airplay does iPhone 5S use wifi to directly communicate with Apple TV or does it use wifi via my wifi router? I hope it uses wifi directly to the Apple TV and thereby bypasses my wifi router.
I ask because my Apple TV is located where wifi to my router is not good. Hence the Apple TV keeps dropping out when streaming video from iTunes on my iMac. I cannot move the Apple TV to a location with better wifi signal without rearranging the entire room! Hence I am wondering if airplay from my iPhone would work better. Best regards….
