Yeah it should work fine, we've done this at work for similar type reasons
When internet connection sharing is onon the mac device, On the windows laptop hold down the windows key and press the I key at the same time, Arrow across to the network and internet option and hit enter, Tab or move with the mouse down through the different tabs, the first default tab should give you wifi / wireless etc, Next is wireless settings, the third should be a list of the available wifi netowrks Scrole through this with arrow keys until you find the name of the wifi connection share of the mac then enter on it then tab twice to connect, Entering on this should bring up the authentication prompt. One tab here would have or should have given the option to connect automatically which you can tick or untick. Hope this helps. I'm wanting to know if anyone can help with this. My friend, a college kid, has a brand new Windows 10 laptop. My Mac can connect to the poor-performing Wifi we have here at the training center for people with disabilities here, but his laptop can't. So I'm wondering if I can use the Internet sharing feature of the Mac and give him a little help. I've tried Bluetooth PAN, but I'm not sure how to set his laptop up to work with that from the Mac. Any help? Sent from my iPhone -- The following information is important for all members of the Mac Visionaries list.
