That won't make my cellular data quit working though if I'm not on wifi will
it? Nor will it make my cellular service stop working regardless if I'm on
wifi calling or not, will it?
As long as it won't do either things, and cellular'll keep working
regardless, then I'll shut it off.
Especially, if it'll save some battery.
Chris.

Wo! I haven't seen this article, and I don't see a link in your message,
unless I missed it. I myself am not having this issue, however, that
said, my best friend who's also on this list often times have signal
issues left and right. What's really weird is, he's got a 2300 square
foot home. I've been there before and seen it first hand. He does have
an AT&T microcell tower, which helps a little bit, but sometimes, his
signal goes totally ape crud on him, even on HD calling. I've helped get
him set up on wifi calling, but that's odd, as he also sometimes has
issues there. Granted, it's way less common, but, yeah...
My point is, if you could give us a bit more info on where this setting is
you're referring to, that would be very very appreciated. I know I O S
extremely extremely well, but this is admittedly one thing I've either
failed to see, or just simply hasn't really jumped out at me.
Chris.

I read an article recently that the iPhone by default opens two
connections one cellular and one WiFi and shares the traffic between them.
If your cell service is week in your house this might be the issue. I
read about this on tidbits.com in the last three months. Finding the
checkbox they discussed and turning off this feature did improve my phone
performance.
Best Wishes,
Jonathan

Hi!
What could cause the mac to be a problem here?
Thanks.

Could be interference but you’d think your Mac would be impacted also

I’m leaning towards interference but the Mac is making me question that.

Hi!
I have an Iphone 6 S so its the latest.
Regarding the bands i am not sure as i have set my airports to use
automatic radio channels.
But maybe this wasn’t that good?

What type of iPhone is this? What band are you using 2.4 or ughz and
is this 802.11N or AC or B/G? Would like to know a bit more about the
setup. The airports you’re using are very capable across bands so it
depends on the specific iPhone you have.
Since it’s apple all the way though I would have expected more
performance.

Hello,
Is the Mac hard wired or is that too wirelessly connected. I’d expect
a hard wired device to be more efficient.

Hi!
This is so strange i have to ask about it here.
I hope someone can clear things out for me.
I have a 100mbps cable internet connection.
The cable modem is configured just to be a modem and not a router.
I have connected one of my airport express via ethernet to the modem
and the two other airport devices, one airport extreme and one other
express is connected wirelessly to the airport express connected to
the modem.
SO far so good and the airport is set to be a nat and it just works
out well.
Now to the strange issue.
When i check the speed with a app from the swedish telephone and
postal service which decides how operators should work and so on.
I do the test with their app on my Iphone and only get 17mbps
download speed and 11mbps upload.
Going to their site with my mac gives me 65mbps with their built-in
test on their site.
Note that my mac and iphone did the test at the same place in the
apartment.
I have tried moving around with my Iphone and do more testing but
it does not give me more than 17 or maybe 20Mbps.
The same with my ipod touch 5th gen and my ipad mini 2.
Any ideas?
