No that is not the main substance of CCC as opposed ti SD. I already registered Carbon Copy so was reluctant to register another similar app which does not offer a fully functional version until tis registered.

Once I learned how CCC works, I removed SD. Its like walking up a hill, hard work. But once you reach the crest, its all behind you. Same with a new OS, new app, etc.

Aa, so it's more a scheduling thing. Yeah, you can do a lot of that as
well with Super Duper, although I confess, I never personally have. I
have definitely seen the options there though.

Chris,
I have been serious before and I will be serious now. This is
really subjective so bear that in mind.

I bought CCC first and had trouble understanding its interface. So
I installed SuperDuper and while, yes, its a nice simple interface, I
never registered it so cannot comment on its unlocked features.

Back to CCC. I finally got in sync with it and am quite pleased
with it. I even have a task to backup the VMware folder which is
excluded from the main task. And all are scheduled tasks.

To summarize, again its subjective. Both apps offer free trials.
SuperDuper locks some of its features in its unregistered version so
its not possible to test it fully.

And, E.T, this is not in the least meant to challenge nor bash you. I'm
being totally serious with my question here. OK? Seriously, what
exactly are the features that you get with CCC that you don't get with
Super Duper. I ask, as though I have both, I admittedly haven't really
deeply explored Carbon Copy Cloner much, as SD usually has met my needs
just fine. You do have me intreigued at this point though.

Chris.

This Ancient Alien suggests you run both free for 30 days and see
which you like better. Both are accessible. CCC has more features and
is the one I bought. And this is not nonsense. (smiles)

Hi List,
The subject says it all.
Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper! for El Capitan?
Who out there has used either of these applications on El Capitan, and
which is most VO friendly?
Thanks
