I am in the process of converting mine to work with iTunes as well.
Audiobook Builder by Splasm is $5. I have not really had a chance to
check out what I did so far but think this will do what you want. The
price is right too.

some audio books and don't want to fill VDR's library with a couple gigs of
audio. I'm not afraid to do this manually if there's no app for it, and will do
