Did you do any tweaking under the hood using the vmx file? Just
curious. The only thing I would love to change is getting one external
drive to automatically connect after Windows boots. Everything else
works fine.

32bit which for me is more compact and uses less space than 64bit. In
case of Fusion it really doesn’t matter what version of Windows you are
wanting to install and for heavy VM users I would certainly recommend 64
bit. Again, there is an option to change your specs after the machine is
configured.
