I wouldn't run windows on anything less than 4 gb ram on a machine these days, But one of my personal vm's is a server windows 2012R2 but I'm wanting to put together a 2016 windows server soon also. So I need a bit more grunt for those.

That's what I have done I just followed fusions recommendations, and windows works fine as does Mac OS X. Course, I'm not running any high-powered apps on the windows, just Internet exploder and a few other mainstream apps.
