You can do this with AppleScript, though I have not actually worked that code. Yo would need to either use the Script menu or else the keyboard commander to associate the AppleScript with a keystroke. If you are not up to coding AppleScript I have read that the PlugIn MailActOn should do this. I don’t know any blind users of the plugin and I am not sure if it is actively developed.
