I have an iPad mini and an iPhone. I like the iPhone for male much better than the iPad, because I like the smaller footprint. The layout for mail is simpler, and the mail program in the iPhone opens straight into the list of messages. On the iPad, it opens to the last opened message, which is irritating in my opinion. This is true even if you have closed the messages and then removed mail from the app switcher. Open it, and you still open to a mail message. I think it is a bug, but Apple doesn't apparently. I use my iPad a lot for reading with voice dream, Kindle, iBooks. Frankly, I use the devices so much, that if all I had was just the phone, I wouldn't get through a day without needing a charge. I have used Twitter and Facebook on both, although I prefer the phone again because of the smaller footprint. When I have to take notes for something, I use the iPad mini. I like the longer battery life. I trust that more then the phone, which gets a lot more use for other things, and therefore might be lower and run out in the middle of some meeting where I'm supposed to be taking notes. I prefer web surfing on the phone, again because of the smaller footprint and the ease in finding things. So, if I had to some up, I would say that I use the iPad for notetaking, and I use the iPad for things that may take a long time but don't require lots of interaction, such as reading. Mary
