Hi Scott, Does blackberry still exist?
I thought they went under a couple of years ago. I know they had some of the best encryption on mobile devices but that was when they had the older style phones that weren’t accessible. Makes perfect sense. We probably do the reverse for them to circumvent their own legal problems. Honestly, I think I’m going to switch to Blackberry. The Canadians from what I understand aren’t nearly as draconian when it comes to security and the NSA can’t pressure a company that’s not based in the US as easily. CelleBrite is a company that spun out of Israel that does exactly that, cracks cell phones and communications. I think it’s interesting now that apple is considering bring legal action to find out how they did it. My understanding is they copied the data digitally off the hardware and then brute forced it but others may have more complete details.
