As of El Capitan 10.11.4, I downgraded to Yosemite 10.10.5. Yosemite has issues, but nothing like the nonsense in El Crap, which Apple are clearly never going to get around to fixing until macOS 12 gets released. Activities and hotspots, which both matter to me, for example, are still buggered. And, while some issues from Yosemite did get fixed, notably the substantially improved responsiveness of sounds and loss of position on a web page and the positioning of the cursor in Mail, I’m much more able to work around those than activities and hotspot issues. Others have already mentioned other little things, like the focus issues in the stores and Safari text navigation. As I have said before now on this list, I often appear to be surprised by how much nicer the experience of OS X is after you downgrade. It’s a shame.
