Thanks. The one mailing list I want on my iDevices is now set up and
working. I sent a test message from Windows and closed the mail client
due to IMAP so wanted a valid test.
Other mailing lists like this one will only go to the Mac so will do
filters from there. Plan is to stop using Windows. I did some filters in
Yosemite so expect it will not be hard to do again. This is near the end
of my agenda so almost done!

Hi,
If you set up the rule via the web interface, then yes, the folder and
filtering will exist server side, and you will see that structure on all
devices.
Compare this to creating a rule on the Mac, where the Mac does the logic of
filtering the mail and the rule will only be executed if your Mac is on and
Mail running. In addition, on the Mac you have the choice of creating a local
folder that exists only on your Mac or a server side folder that exists under
your iCloud account. If it is an iCloud folder, you well see this on all your
iOS devices. If it is a local folder, you will not see it on iOS devices.
In general, it is best to create rules on the cloud interface server side.
However, the UI in the web interface is a little harder to use than the rules
on the Mail client app.
your iOS devices. Local folders will not, where folders under your iCloud
account will.
Hope that makes sense.

this work on the iDevices? Will a folder be created on the iPhone/iPad?
