Hi,

If you're going to reformat the SD card I recommend using the format SD card 
option on the stream. I have used this with all my new SD cards and my mac's 
card reader doesn't have a problem recognizing the cards. If you're able to use 
the card slot on your computer I find that the content transfers faster and the 
mac ejects the card better than if you use your stream connected to the 
computer.
