Hi Donna. Yes, it looks like your AppleTV is a second generation model. Even then, that's not how you activate audio descriptions and Netflix. It's done within the Netflix app itself. Press the center button on the remote, and hold it. Whatever you're watching will stop, and voiceover should let you navigate the screen. There's an audio tab, and in that tab there should be a choice for audio description. If you don't see it, you definitely have a second-generation Apple TV.
