Hi Scott.

Thankyou for responding. I have a number of replies but decided to write to you first because you referred me to a Mr. Mike Erigo.

Can I say off the bat that it was Mike, through his podcasts on Blind Cool Tech, that got me pondering the possibility of jumping ship, from Windows 7 to an Imac.

I've got all of his podcasts, but unfortunately, the latest, found at Rick's Blind Geek Zone, was 2014.

I wrote to Mike enquiring if perhaps he had done anything up to date like El capitan, but unfortunately, I did not get a reply. I really do hope and wish that he is still with us, if for no other reason than to experience again his enthusiasm on everything apple. Anyway, I'm not going to write again just in case his family situation has changed, if you know what I mean.

As for Apple vis, I have and will again visit their site but last time I visited, I got lost amongst everything other than downloadable podcasts.

Anyway, Scott. It was nice of you to refer me to Mike and I thank you for it. I just know I'm so close to getting to grips with VO that in a couple of weeks, I'll be enbarrased about my current pannick attacks.

Very best wishes.
Andy logue.

Nevertheless, I'll make a point of visiting again tonight to see what I can grab.

You can also look for some pod casts from Mike Erigo that were very good. Blindcooltech had them but google is your friend here.

Also, there is the documentation that Apple provides that will get you started and ofcourse applevis.

Hope that helps

Hi,
No idea which os you are running but John, who is a member here, keeps all
of the voiceover users guides in test on his website.
www.macfortheblind.com
Or I think that is correct.
I cannot say if it remains, but there is or was a training built into the
voiceover utility itself.
Loads of free options out there for you.
HTH,
Kare

Hi all.

I've jumped ship from Win 7 to a beutiful 27 inch Imac with Elcapitan and I'm stuck.

I cannot for the life of me find affordable tutorials, in any format, to get me started.

I bought the new computer and jumped ship because I was convinced that there must be lpoads of training materials available to help me, but unfortunately, the lovely shine is quickly leaving my new computer.

So I need some form of formate media to help me learn about voice over and how to get started .

Any information would be absolutely appricieated.

Andy.
