In order to retrieve the information you need to know a table to get it from. So SQL queries look something like: select * from MessageText ; Select userName, messaeText from users , messages where users.id = messages.AuthorID The information after the from and before the where clause is a list of tables to get data from. A table is very similar to a spreadsheet except that every column always has a name.
