The problem with the website mentioned here is that there is text constantly scrolling across the third line of the page, and if VoiceOver gets stuck in there, it’s hard to get out. I extricated myself by doing VO-Cmd-h to jump to the next heading and all was well. When my sighted husband came home, I showed him the page and he explained what was happening visually.
Like Tim, I also prefer to navigate in Safari using groups mode as I find it more efficient. Unfortunately, with El Capitan, there is a horrible noise to show that interaction is possible and sometimes, it makes groups mode unbearable. I reported this to Accessibility and they were able to reproduce my problem, but I’m still waiting for a fix.
