Secondly, you wonder why we go so crazy on the 4th, well, considering it's Independence Day. The day that in 1776 we became independent, one nation under god. This is why we have such hife. It's the celebration of our country's independence, rememberring those who died to give us freedom, etc. As for PBS, that is a broadcasting network in the states that carried live coverage from the Whitehouse of the yearly celebration. They do so every year. This was the 36th anniversary of them doing so, and covering the event. PBS is the network that broadcasts the event.
