I did finally get Sonos working properly on my iPod. I think the problem is
that I just wasn't giving it enough time to connect. My iPod is the
previous Generation, so it's pretty slow, which is why I initially set Sonos
up on my phone.

tester of the Sonos Labs platform, this isn't covered under my NDA, so
this, I can! tell you all openly: one of the services you can get then is
the Plex Media Server, which you can store your library in as well. So
trust me, there are buttloads of options.

Another thing you can do with Sonos is to put all your music on a network
drive and build a library which can be accessed from any Sonos controller.

Happily, I was able to solve the problem I was having last night. It
seems that the problem was on my phone. For some reason it thought
those songs were downloaded, but when I went to play them from the
music app, Voiceover said downloading, and gave me the download
progress. After that, I was able to play those songs in Sonos. Not
sure what would cause this, but at least the problem is solved.
But now I have another question. I want to be able to control Sonos
with both my phone and my iPod. I did the initial setup from my phone,
and now when I use my iPod as the controller, it doesn't seem to see
the music that is stored there. Does anyone know if there's a way to
tell it to play the music on whichever device I'm using as the current
controller?
