Hi all,
I'm trying to help my (sighted) mother use iMovie under Sierra on a 2012
Macbook Pro. We're trying to import photos from an album in Photos, but not
having luck. I go to the sidebar and choose the photos library option, and
that's where things go wrong.

At first, it seems fine. I find the popup menu, choose "my albums", and get
some filters and a search box. However, the group of albums after that has no
meaningful labels for VO, and my mother says it shows only a single album which
is not the one she wants. Then, stranger still, the whole thing vanishes if
either of us try to do anything with it, and both "my albums" and "albums"
disappear from the popup menu. I have to select "years" before they come back,
which makes no sense at all.

We're both new to iMovie, and are both very confused. Why does "my albums" only
show up sometimes? Why does the list of albums, when it does consent to appear,
show only a few albums and then vanish when you try to show more? I hope this
made some sense. Thanks in advance.
