My own dumb fault, the first thingI should have done was to try another
usb cable and that was the problem. The computer recognized the scanner and
set it up automatically.

Docuscan plus should use any Twain compatible scanner on your Mac. my guess
is that you forgotten to install the can and drivers and utilities that
came with your scanner for the Mac .if they didn't come on a CD with your
scanner you'll probably have to download them off the internet. hope this
