Actually Kawal, the world has never been so much at piece, you really need to
get away from that government sponsored media you British live under, even if
your television shows are a lot better than ours. As a percentage of the
population, at no point in our history have fewer people been in a state of
war. THere’s a very good book called the end of Violence which demonstrates on
a historical basis that actual remarkable decrease in violence that’s taken
place over the last several thousand years. At this point, less than 1% of the
population lives in a conflict zone which is vastly reduced from even the
beginning of the 20th century let alone farther back.
Next, Apple working on cars had absolutely 0 to do with their bottom
line. Apple has 233 billion in cash in the bank which is more than the
economic output of Ireland to put it somewhere near your UK for reference.
Apple is worth more than most countries on the planet so whether they spend a
billion or 2 on cars makes 0 difference to the bottom line. Apple brings in
over a billion per day in revenue on a gross basis and operates somewhere
around a 38% margin so that’s 380 million in the bank every day. If anything,
Apple needs to go on a spending spree and start bringing some new talent in
house. Apple for example could buy Tesla, Twitter, and still barely have to
dip in to the bank account. And just like it was offensive for my president to
involve himself in your politics and try to bully his way in to your brexit
decision, we’d kindly ask that you British stay out of ours, remember what
happened the last time you tried to force your will on the colonies? :) (I’m
kidding of course, your opinions are always welcome)

I would however seriously recommend that book for your consideration. Our
media and by our I mean the world or at least the western world media creates
so many artificial stories that aren’t based on reality at all that if you
watched anything whether it’s the beeb or CBS or the Clinton News Network or
what ever you’d think the world is burning in a fireball of war, it’s not, not
even close. Massive blocks of people trade with each other who never did
before, your continent of Europe has reduced it’s wars and aside from a few
hotspots which are definitely disturbing the vast vast majority of us live in a
peaceful world. If you watch TV it may seem like it but I assure you, we’re
getting along at record rates and I only hope that trend continues to grow so
we can all be friends on our little blue ball.
