Hi, All. I'm trying to use my Braille Sense u2 running firmware 8.5 as a
braille display through USB with my mac air running Sierra. I had no
problems when I did this on El Capitan. But now, what shows up on the
braille display often is not what is in the voiceover focus. For instance,
voiceover will say I'm on the desktop, and the braille display looks like
it's showing me what would be displayed in the app chooser. Panning on the
display also does not move me from line to line, but jumps me all over the
place, it seems, and the routing keys do not put the voiceover cursor where
it should. There is also a problem where there is sometimes a mix of
contracted and uncontracted braille, even on the same line, but I have it
set for contracted braille. I haven't changed any of my braille settings
since before I installed Sierra, and I doublechecked them. I think there's
an 8.6 firmware upgrade for the Braille Sense, but I'm not sure the update
would help or if it's a Sierra thing. Anyone else had similar experiences?
I'm not sure if I should call Apple Accessibility or not. I doubt they
would have any ideas, but I guess at least I could report it as a bug.
