You're correct, Scott. Two factor can be annoying, but it's tolerable in my experience, and can be fully accessible. And, it definitely makes things more secure.
For the sake of illustration, my Google account is setup for access with two factor. I put in my account name and press on next. I'm then presented with a screen prompting for my password. After I click the login button I'm put in an edit field that's expecting me to type a code. I have chosen to get that code via voice phone call. It arrives at the number I told Google to call within a second or two--very promptly, always. There's a short disclaimer. I've noticed I've developed the habit of sipping my coffee while the disclaimer plays. Than a 6 digit code is read out. I type it in as I hear it, tab once and press enter. Bingo, I'm in. If I'm away from my phone and can't take a voice call, I have the option to ask for alternate delivery of the code, by text message for example. I sometimes use that approach when I'm in a room with other folks and don't want to draw attention to myself unnecessarily.
