It can be done in terminal where such tasks are common. Using one command an entire folder with titles having a character in common can be changed

Here is the first title of multiple google returns:

how can I rename multiple files by removing a character or string

http://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/33279/how-can-i-rename-multiple-files-by-removing-a-character-or-string

That page is for unix/linux but works for terminal also because they are using the same commands and utilities common to all who use bash shell as terminal does. also.

First set up a test folder with a few examples copied from the ones you want to change and see if the results are what you want.

I would be happy to help to adjust what you find to the particular task you want to do.

Hi guys,
I have an album of music that has a file name like this:
17_city_harbor_come_however_you_are.mp3
I want to get rid of the underlines.
I also have a folder with over 10000 artist drops that I purchased from a
website and they have dashes in the filename and I want to get rid of them.
What is the best way to do this without doing it manually?
Thanks.

God bless.
