You have only edited the Voiceover labels. To make this work you
need to either turn VO off or do it in iTunes.

While working with a friend, I showed this individual the two finger
double tap and hold gesture for the purpose of labeling pictures in the
Photos app. And while all appeared to be working as expected,we labeled
several pictures successfully, It was learned after leaving the current
Photo Album and returning that the newly created labels did not remain.
This was performed on folders as well as individual photos with the same
result every time. Once again, all appeared to be working and I have
been doing this for years on my own device with never a problem. This
individual is using an iPhone 6s with the most recent version of the
iOS. Any ideas as to what the problem might be?
