Helga, I have seen similar issues with the log-in screen. Which audio interface are you using, the built-in speaker / headphone or an external one? If this problem ever occurs again you may want to try changing the audio output. Alternatively, you can try to quit VO by pressing CMD+F5, wait for 10 seconds and then pressing the same key combination again. I suspect you have a timing issue somewhere in the audio path around CoreAudio. Hope this is of any help /Roland
