Hi, I liked my samsung. It was a minimalist as far as the onboard
controls were conserned. There was an apple configuration utility that was
more or less accessible and there was a web interface for things like
checking the ink level. It programmed via usb, then connected to the
wireless network.
I really like brother printers. They are substancially cheaper than
samsung and the software is a bit nicer, but the ink is a lot more
expensive unless you know where to look.
HP was really flashing the touch screen interfaces for a while. You need
sighted assistance to get those connected. Once connected though, samsung,
hp, brother, and cannon all have web interfaces that work pretty well and
even let you send faxes or iniciate photo coppies in some cases.
Hope this helps,
Erik

My printer is dying and needs to be replaced. I am looking for something
that will work well with a MacBook pro with sierra 10.12.3. (It would also
be great if i could print from iPhone or iPad, but not essential) I use
voiceover screenreader. I need compact size and controls that are not
touch-screen dependent. (Many of the ones I have seen use touchpad without
voice.) It would be great if I could use the keyboard to control it, or if
there are tactile clues. Economy is a factor for sure. I'd be grateful for
any suggestions from other voiceover users that use a printer regularly.
Thanks.
