Hi,

Subscribing to a Podcast through iTunes is totally accessible. Not sure what
planet the Apple Service rep was on when he told you this. Yes, in some cases
on the web, VO does not read custom elements designed by some developers, but
within the Store pane of iTunes, subscribing to a Podcast is not one of those
situations. If you are in the Podcasts section of the iTunes Store, there
should be an item that reads 0.00 if the Podcast is free and some other price
if it is not. VO-space on that item and a confirmation dialog should appear.
Confirm and it's done. Alternatively, if you need to verify that a Podcast has
been subscribed to, it should be listed in your Podcasts pane of your main
iTunes Library. In this area, you should also be able to download additional
episodes and change your Podcast settings.

Later...

I was trying to subscribe to a podcast. I clicked on the link
to Itunes provided and could not tell if I was subscribed or not. Also, I am
having trouble even navigating ITuens with both Windows and my mac book pro.
Here is an interesting twist. Even phoning the help desk for Apple did not
really work as the service rep said the VO does not read out everything or,
specifically where you need to click.
