Donna,

I'm not sure what your really getting at,

I take it you pick one speaker up and take it outside but if you have them as
individual speakers surely they should just work as I have!

I take one from my bedroom and move it to the kitchen and it keeps working,if
I want it playing what is on my living room pair then I just group the speakers
again or to sepperate the sounds I split the grouping

This can be done under the room settings grouping rooms

And if you don't have things running at the time you unplug may be good to try,
I make sure I move the bedroom play 1 before I start playing the audio.

Subject: Question for Sonos users

Hi all,

So, my husband and I just relocated, and we're sort of camping out in a tiny
rental house while we sell our old home. As a result, the only sound system we
currently have unpacked is our Sonos. We have two Play ones. Because that is
our only system, I need to move one of the speakers from inside to outside when
we want to sit outside and listen to music out there. Every time I do this,
it's a major hassle, and I spend at least an hour putting things back to
rights, when I bring the speaker back inside. This time I've spent several
hours, and I still can't seem to get the speaker that I moved added back into
the Livingroom room. Does anyone know if there is a less painful way to
accomplish this? Stated another way, is there a pain-free way to be able to
use one speaker in more than one location? I thought there was a way to manage
this in the iPhone app, but I'm not seeing it.
Thanks,
Donna
