What causes you to think we want to “slag Apple off”?  Surely, you are aware 
that most of us here use Macs and other Apple products with a fairly high 
degree of personal and professional satisfaction.  As for the e-mail you 
mentioned, surely, you are aware that this was a spam e-mail designed to scare 
you?  You were right to be suspicious.  Yes, Apple’s accessibility department 
has undergone much revision of late and this fact can be hard to see if one has 
not dealt with Apple over the phone for a little while.  I myself came from 
using windows and JAWS back in November of 2009.  I can say without reservation 
that it is my firm intention to NEVER switch back to windows.
