Apple has a massive infrastructure. They built their own infrastructure for CDN that’s connected at least at 10 gig and 100 gig in many places and they use a lot of 100G internally. They can push petabytes of data much like Akamai.
I peered with Apple several times and know they run separate connections to the peering fabric for IPv4 and IPv6, each is at least 10G in size. Apple bought a lot of Juniper MX960 and bigger gear, they should be able to swamp us all with data.;) > On May 19, 2017, at 11:49 AM, 'Chris Blouch' via MacVisionaries > <[email protected]> wrote: > Of course speed is only as od as the weakest link.
