Hi David, I'm not sure I understand what you were saying, and if I do, I don't agree. That is because I don't see why the language would change for instants if the mail messages open, but not change if it is closed. That is with the language set to default, which in my case is US English Alex. Also, when you do switch languages with a one finger vertical flick the new language is announced. This is not happening. Russian is two choices away, with US English and then Russian flipping down. This system has work too well for me for too many years for me to believe that all of a sudden I am doing something different. This just started, so I am going to respectfully disagree. Mary
