Hi Listers,

I've got a mac book from approx. 2008 2009, it's a 13" notebook and when I
power it on it gives a tone like S.O.S but reversed three long tones three
short and then three long again,

I've taken out the ram and replaced it including with incorrect ram which gives
a 3 tone chime which keeps going on and on and twhen the ram was corrected it
went back to the S.O.S tone,

There doesn't appear to be any text on the screen

Does anyone have any idea what might be hpappening with this machine.

It has been powered off for approx. 12 months and last time it was used was to
migrate data from it to a new mac book air.

I'd love to get this machine up and running again if anyone can give me info on
what is possibly happening.

Cheers,

Simon F
