If that’s the case then you should disconnect everything and shut off your 
services immediately.  Your a security risk to the rest of the world by not 
acting responsibly.  You yourself should learn this, it’s a good skill, you can 
be helpful to others once you learn and if you get far enough make a great 
living at it.  But if you’re not willing to do your maintenance then please, do 
us and the world a favor and disconnect all internet services.  You’re a risk 
to your self, your financial well being, your families financial well being and 
the rest of the world when your non updated equipment is used as part of a 
distributed denial of service attack.  I can’t stress how important updating 
your firmware and software is.  You’re connected to the rest of the world, 
literally. You need to be a good internet citizen and there’s no cost to do so.

Also remember, if your machines get compromised your carrier be it Comcast, 
charter, verizon or whom ever will disable your services and cancel your 
accounts / service.  It’s in your terms and conditions you signed when you had 
service established.  Please be careful.
