Hello Nimer,

Text selection is one of those questions that comes up regularly as there is
not one way that works everywhere with VoiceOver.
The simplest way, and the one that works in most text editing situations, is
the Shift key with arrow keys.
Shift-Right Arrow selects by character.
Shift-Option-Right Arrow selects by word.
Shift-Cmd-Right Arrow selects to the end of the line.
Shift-Down Arrow selects a line.
Shift-Option-Down Arrow selects to the end of the paragraph.
Shift-Cmd-Down Arrow selects to the end of the document.
Obviously, left arrow and up arrow perform the opposite functions.

The next method is to use Quick Nav and the shift key. Just set the rotor to
Characters, words, lines, sentences or paragraphs and hold down the Shift key
as you press the Down Arrow key.

The third method is VO-Return to begin and end the selection. This usually
works in HTML.

Then, if all you want to do is copy text, you can make VoiceOver speak the text
you want, and then press VO-Shift-c to copy the last spoken phrase to the
clipboard.

Cheers,

Anne
