Yes I have approx. 10 iPhone 4 / 4s devices that I want to lock down so that if someone uses one they can’t add in their own apple ID and forget to unlock it from that id before giving it back which we’ve had happen in the passed couple of weeks. A pain in the ass if you have to contact someone at the other end of the country to unlock a phone to be able to reset it. Thanks for any further info if you have any. I'm more used to the original Configurator as opposed to Configurator 2, but have played a little with 2. Configurator 2 is actually much better, but I just haven't had the time to work with it much. I will be doing so over the next few months though as I need to take control of a bunch of iPads that need updating and are still connected to the original Configurator. If you're just doing minor stuff like you mentioned, there's no real need to go all out on an MDM, Configurator 2 and maybe OS X Server should be fine. Later...
