Mary, I can’t speak to the written documentation but here are my use cases. I have an Apple Watch original so will most likely be upgrading.
currently I use the Watch to monitor the time on Uber trips, The app is slow to load but will give you times until your driver arrives and haptic feedback when driver does arrive. this is better in some situations than checking the phone. I also use Carrot Weather as a complication but it’s getting slower and slower to refresh on the original Watch. I like having haptic notifications for messages. this was important with an aging and ill family member last year and I used the Watch a lot for messaging and phone calls both. I still appreciate the haptics for messages. Just Press Record has a handy complication for the Watch that I routinely use in doctors offices and other places to record appointment times. I also use the timer complication for cooking, though I now like the Amazon Echo multiple timers when at home cooking.
