In the messages app, you have a list. And each item in the list could be a thread which might have several messages in it, or it might be a single message. There isn't any way on the message list to know if an item you're looking at represents a thread or just one message. If I double tap the edit button, I can indeed select items in the list, but one item might be a thread with several messages. And I can't find a way to just delete certain portions that is certain messages from the thread. Does that make sense? Somebody said use the edit function for that. OK, so on the message list screen, you do have that edit function. But if you have two or three messages in a conversation, you only see the top one. How do you get granularity to delete individual ones?
