Hello; are you using the full version, lite version, or mobile
version. I used to have that problem all the time until i started
using the mobile version. the problem is when you type too many
characters in that field it locks up and closes safari. the only
problem with the mobile version for me at least is that it doesn't
offer an audio captcha alternative so I had to get sighted help to
verify my account first. verifying consists of them sending you a
text message to any cell phone that you choose to register and then
typing the code from the text in a box and pressing enter. You have
to have a cell phone to do verification though. I hope that helps.
sad thing is regular facebook and safari were happy together until
