I don't remember if I responded or not. I found a very strange work-around for Windows users wanting to download podcasts in iTunes.

First, you have to go to each podcast you subscribe to and hit the settings button. It's easiest just to go to all podcasts actually to start with. Anyhow, once you do that, set the default setingts to download all podcast episodes, and keep all.

When you subscribe to different podcasts after that point, once you have the episodes downloaded and know which ones you plan to keep, customize your settings per podcast accordingly. For instance, for the BBC Mundo podcast, I have it now set to download the most recent episode, and to only keep unplayed episodes. For all the rest, once they are al downloaded, I am going to tell it to only download the most recent one, and to keep all.

All that said, the only way to make the options to download all podcast episodes show up is to go to Grid view and then immediately switch back to List view. Then open up each podcast with the right arrow, and then hit the applications key. Then you'll see download all podcast episodes.

Hi Jane,

Apparently, some of the context menu options for iTunes that we have
under VoiceOver don't show up when VoiceOver is not running, and these
include "Download podcast episode" and "Download all episodes".
Instead, sighted users navigate to a button to the right of the folder
name to download all episodes, or to a button to the right of the
episode name to download a specific episode. Maybe your Windows
screen reader can access these buttons?

Cheers,

Esther

Right now I am using Windows to access podcasts. (Getting a Mac of my
own again soon.) Anyhow, I am subscribed to a couple of podcasts and
iTunes U lectures which I just discovered, but there is no 'download
all
episodes' option when I bring up the context menu. There is also no
'download podcast episode' when I bring up the context menu on an
individual episode. Anyone have any idea why?
