Andy, I would think that Amadeus pro would be your best bet, as it is roughly 
equivalent to Gold wave in its functionality. However I would strongly suggest 
getting Jonathan Mosen‘S tutorials called Amadeus maestro to get acquainted 
with some of the corky behavior of Amadeus.
ProTools and the others will set you back quite a bit of money, but Amadeus 
with the tutorials will only  be about 60 or $70.
